Children's Book Illustration

Over £72,000 raised towards our ‘Open Doors’ launch fund!

A fantastic star-studded evening of performance and live illustration helped us to raise over £72,000 towards opening our new gallery in King’s Cross next year. Joanna Lumley, Peter Capaldi, Simon Russell Beale and Celia Imrie joined Quentin Blake and a host of famous illustrators in a celebration of Lewis Carroll’s famous poem The Hunting of the Snark. Enter The Book Illustration Competition – an exciting partnership between House of Illustration and The Folio Society. This year’s book is Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness and the deadline for entries is January 10th 2014. See our website for more details.
There are fantastic illustration events happening across the UK in the run up to Christmas. From Thought Bubble in Leeds, to the South Ken Kids Festival, the first London Illustration Fair, and Picture This: Children’s Illustrated Classics at The British Library. Check out our November and December What's On.

We are delighted to be taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge again this year. It’s a one-off chance to support us and have your donation doubled! Click here for details.

Finally, with Christmas on its way why not head over to the House of Illustration shop and pick up one of our Christmas cards by award-winning illustrator Emma Chichester Clark. We're also offering an extra 20% off all prints for the next month, just enter NOEL2013 at the checkout
